About

I have always been passionate about physical activity, and the many benefits it can have at both the individual and society level. Through my current role as a Lecturer in Exercise and Health at Ulster University, I am involved in researching the effectiveness of interventions to promote physical activity, primarily in children and young people. Alongside this, I teach on our Sport, Physical Activity and Health course, providing our students with the knowledge and skills to organise and provide for the development, management and delivery of sport, physical activity and health initiatives.

This project aims to explore the potential of these devices to promote positive health-related behaviours (physical activity and healthy eating) within the family environment.
